Here’s what you need to know about Hannah and Alan: they crack each other up. It’s awesome. You can see for yourself in a few of my favorites from the engagement shoot we did on a lovely trail in Carrboro, NC.
In honor of Mother’s Day, Southern Weddings featured the short documentary I produced for bride, Casey Wilson. Casey gave the film to her mom as a wedding gift. Thanks Southern Weddings!
I’m getting ready to head up to Virginia to photograph Patricia and Zac’s wedding. But first, I wanted to give a quick peak at their Colonial Williamsburg engagement photo session. How is it that Colonial Williamsburg is always so daggone beautiful? Can’t wait to spend the weekend with this lovely pair and their families.
I recently had the opportunity to photograph a lovely wintery Durham wedding with the very talented and exceptionally enjoyable Sarah Der. Alison and Jacob’s beautiful grey, white and cozy day made me a true believer in winter weddings. Yes, we have winter in North Carolina. Here’s a quick look at their very fun day.
You know what the best part is about Elena and Joe being engaged? Joe wanting to do a video save the date featuring him in a mullet wig. That and the fact that they are going to share a lifetime of happiness together, of course.
So this project was obviously not documentary, but it’s definitely storytelling. And working with the couple to come up with a creative plan for sharing their excitement with family friends (and avoiding having to print and mail paper Save the Dates) was about as fun as it gets. Plus they’ll have something fun to feature on their wedding website and a very personal way to remember this time in their life forever.
Hope they’re not planning on walking those train tracks all the way to Iowa…
Rarely do I turn down the opportunity to spend a little time in my old Colonial Williamsburg stomping grounds. So I took a quick trip to Virginia to meet up with Lyndsay and Dustin for their engagement photo shoot. After dodging some storms the day before, we ventured down the beautiful Colonial Parkway to spend the morning in Yorktown. Thanks for putting up with the mosquitoes and my arts and crafts project. I’m looking forward to the beautiful spring Colonial Williamsburg wedding!
Here is Casey and Jeff’s Short Story, the highlights of the documentary wedding video from their July wedding in Raleigh, North Carolina. If you didn’t see the earlier post, check out For Mama, the surprise family documentary video Casey gave her mom as a wedding gift, and you’ll see why I’m really going to miss this bride.
Terri Flagg and I took a trip up to Northern Virginia to photograph Jana and Chris’s lovely Old Town Alexandria wedding. All of the members of the wedding party were great sports as we trekked around in search of Jana and Chris’s favorite DC and Norther Virginia views…and got shooed away by some Fort Myer base security. We had such a great time with you guys. Your family and friends couldn’t be sweeter, and we wish you the absolute best!
